One dead, eight injured in Mastung office attack

On Tuesday, BLA armed men launched a violent attack on the Tehsil Office and three banks in Mastung. The attackers set vehicles and administrative records ablaze, with eyewitnesses reporting loud explosions as the fire engulfed the area. A 16-year-old boy passing by was killed in the attack, and eight others sustained injuries.

Three of the injured were treated at Mastung Hospital, while the remaining five were transferred to Shaheed Nawab Ghous Bakhsh Hospital for medical attention. The deceased boy’s body was sent to the District Headquarters Hospital for legal procedures.

Security forces have initiated an extensive search operation to track down the attackers.

“Two terrorists were killed and three others were injured in a fierce exchange of fire with security forces,” stated Balochistan spokesperson Shahid Rindn in a statement.

The attackers, described as “Fitna al Hindustan,” targeted the tehsil office, government offices, and a bank. A 16-year-old boy lost his life, and seven others were injured as a result of their firing. Security personnel, including the Frontier Constabulary, Counter-Terrorism Department, and Levies, swiftly cordoned off the area and neutralized the attackers, the statement further said.
