Three individuals, including a woman, lost their lives when unidentified gunmen opened fire on a vehicle near Killi Hazar Khan on Teri Road in Balochistan’s Mastung district. The victims, identified as Muhammad Azam, Agha Muhammad, and Bibi Parveen, were residents of Kanak and were en route to Mastung when the attack occurred. Their bodies were transported to Mastung hospital by authorities.
The attackers fled the scene after the incident, and a search operation has been launched. This incident comes just two weeks after a similar attack in the Mastung district, where two security personnel protecting a polio vaccination team were killed.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the attack, calling the perpetrators enemies of humanity and pledging justice. He also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to eradicating polio and urged parents to vaccinate their children, emphasizing that the polio campaign would continue undeterred.
Attacks on polio vaccination teams remain a recurring problem in Pakistan, particularly in the provinces of Balochistan and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. At least 20 individuals were killed in similar incidents in 2024.
