A high-level delegation of Balochistan lawyers met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on April 8, 2025, in Islamabad to discuss efforts to resolve Balochistan’s challenges and restore peace.
The meeting with the lawyers, held at the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, included Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) President Mian Muhammad Rauf Atta, Federal Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar, Balochistan High Court Bar Association President Mir Attaullah Langove, and Balochistan Bar Council member Khalil Panezai.

The prime minister reiterated his government’s commitment to addressing Balochistan’s issues through democratic and peaceful means. SCBA President Rauf Atta also briefed the prime minister on his discussions with key political stakeholders aimed at engaging with BNP-Mengal and other protesting groups.
During the meeting, the SCBA president commended the government’s efforts to manage electricity prices and promote economic stability, pledging full support for initiatives aimed at bolstering economic sovereignty.
