Security forces killed 14 terrorists belonging to the banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) during an intelligence-based operation in Ornach tehsil of Khuzdar district, security sources said.
The operation was launched after security agencies received credible intelligence regarding the presence of militants in the mountainous area of Ornach.
According to officials, security forces surrounded the suspected hideout and launched a search operation. During the operation, militants opened fire on the advancing troops, triggering an intense exchange of fire.
“As a result of the operation, 14 BLA terrorists were eliminated,” security sources confirmed, adding that a clearance operation in the area is continuing to ensure no militants remain in the vicinity.
The operation comes amid ongoing counterterrorism actions across Balochistan, where security forces have intensified intelligence-based operations against militant networks.
Militants torch government buildings in Karkh
In a separate incident on March 4, BLA militants carried out a hit-and-run attack in the remote Karkh area of Khuzdar.
According to local administration officials, the militants set fire to several government buildings that had already been vacated, including:

the tehsil office
Two civilian trucks parked near the buildings were also torched, officials said.
Security sources said the militants did not engage security forces directly and instead targeted public infrastructure and civilian property before fleeing the area.
Authorities noted that such attacks on soft targets in remote areas are often intended to create fear and disrupt government services, particularly in regions where public offices provide essential administrative services to local communities.
Separate operation in Panjgur
Meanwhile, On march 03, security forces conducted another intelligence-based operation in Panjgur district after receiving reports about militant movement in the area.
During the operation, militants ambushed security vehicles and opened indiscriminate fire on the forces.
Security personnel responded swiftly, killing two terrorists in the exchange of fire. Officials said clearance operations are still underway in the area.
Security forces reiterated their resolve to continue operations against terrorist groups in Balochistan to ensure peace and stability in the province.
