Security Forces conducting counter-terrorism operation in Kalat, Balochistan
Security Forces neutralised 12militants during an intelligence-based operation in Hassan Lalo, Kalat, Balochistan.

Unidentified assailants hurled a grenade at the residence of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senior leader Agha Shakeel Ahmed Durrani in the Do Talwar area of Khuzdar district, where Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senator Agha Shazeb Durrani also resides. The attack left seven security guards injured.

According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Khuzdar Shehzada Umar Abbas Babar, seven security personnel deployed at the residence sustained injuries and were shifted to Khuzdar Teaching Hospital. Doctors later confirmed their condition to be out of danger.

Police and security forces swiftly cordoned off the area following the blast and launched a search operation to track down the attackers. SSP Babar said evidence had been collected from the scene and assured that the perpetrators would be arrested soon.

Meanwhile, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti strongly condemned the grenade attack, terming it a cowardly act. He said such incidents cannot weaken the resolve of the people or their leadership. The chief minister added that investigations into the incident had already begun, and the perpetrators would be brought to justice. He also expressed prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured.
