India funds BLA to carry out bloodshed in Pakistan: Khawaja Asif

Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said that India is funding the outlawed Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) to orchestrate bloodshed in Pakistan. Speaking with private news channel, the minister said, “What we are saying, we will also prove. These are not just empty words.”

He emphasized that Pakistan remains resolute in its fight against terrorism, vowing to respond with full force. Addressing the recent horrific attack on a school bus near Zero Point in Khuzdar, Balochistan, which tragically claimed the lives of five people, including three children, and injured dozens, the minister strongly condemned the targeting of non-combatants, particularly children and women.

The explosion, which occurred as the bus was transporting more than 40 students to school, drew widespread condemnation from both national leadership and the international community.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir underscored the need for a firm national commitment to eliminate foreign-backed terrorism, likening this resolve to Pakistan’s past responses to Indian aggression.

Defense Minister also pointed out that militant groups like the BLA lose public support when they target vulnerable populations, as such atrocious acts garner universal condemnation. He also highlighted that the BLA’s ties to India are well-documented, citing reports of the banned outfit’s leadership visiting New Delhi.

Additionally, Khawaja Asif also said that India is also supporting other terrorist organizations, including the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), to destabilize Pakistan.
