Leaders of militant outfits TTP and BLA present in India: Khawaja Asif

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has called on India to present evidence of Pakistan’s alleged involvement in the Pahalgam attack to the global community. Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad on April 24, 2025, alongside Defense Minister Khawaja Asif and other government officials, Dar revealed that Pakistan has gathered intelligence suggesting that foreign nationals entered Srinagar carrying weapons.

“Indian intelligence agencies have facilitated these individuals in Srinagar,” Dar stated. He further said that Indian spy agencies supporting foreigners attempting to deploy improvised explosive devices (IEDs).

During his address, Defence Minister Asif strongly criticized Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, labeling him a “certified terrorist ruler” and said that no other country in the world had such a leader.

He said leaders of militant outfits TTP and BLA were present in India, accusing New Delhi of sponsoring terrorism in Pakistan.

“If our citizens are targeted, Indian citizens will not remain safe either,” he cautioned, issuing a stark warning. He emphasized, “Let it be clear—we are fully prepared to confront and counter any acts of terrorism.”

This press event comes in the wake of tensions following India’s unilateral decision to suspend the six-decade-old Indus Water Treaty and other actions targeting Pakistan. The National Security Committee (NSC) of Pakistan has warned that any attempt by India to alter the water flow allocated to Pakistan under the treaty would be treated as an act of war.

The backdrop to these escalating tensions is a tragic attack that occurred on Tuesday in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), which claimed 26 lives, including that of a Nepali citizen. India’s government has accused Pakistan of orchestrating the attack, an allegation Pakistan has strongly refuted, labeling it a “false flag operation.”
