The Balochistan government will join nationwide commemorations to observe Youm-e-Istehsaal Kashmir on August 5, 2025, in solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). This day will highlight the ongoing humanitarian and political struggles in Kashmir and reaffirm Pakistan’s steadfast support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.
Public rallies, awareness walks, and special events will be organized across districts and tehsils under the supervision of Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners. Activities such as essay competitions, photo exhibitions, and public forums will engage students and civil society, fostering a deeper understanding of the Kashmiri plight. Additionally, key government buildings and public spaces will be illuminated, with Pakistani and Kashmiri flags displayed prominently to symbolize unity.
The Information Department will provide extensive coverage through print, electronic, and social media, sharing special messages, visuals, and documentation to amplify the day’s significance. Deputy Commissioners across the province are instructed to encourage broad public participation, ensuring the observance is inclusive and meaningful.
Youm-e-Istehsaal symbolizes the resilience of the Kashmiri people and honors their struggle following the revocation of Article 370 by the Indian government on August 5, 2019. This move stripped Jammu and Kashmir of its special constitutional status, leading to a severe crackdown, widespread human rights abuses, and ongoing suffering for millions. The commemoration underscores Pakistan’s enduring commitment to the Kashmiri cause and the pursuit of justice.
