Gwadar observes Kashmir 'exploitation day'

Gwadar joined the nation in observing Kashmir Exploitation Day by holding multiple rallies to show solidarity with the people of Kashmir. Both civil society and students hosted separate processions, drawing significant participation from the city’s residents.

Public officials, including Additional Deputy Commissioner Dr. Abdul Shakoor and Assistant Commissioner Saad Kaleem, as well as other government officers, students, and citizens, took part in these rallies in large numbers.

The student-led rally commenced from Modern High School, while the civil society rally started at Syed Yadgar on Marine Drive and culminated at the SSP Office in Gwadar. Enthusiastic participants carried Pakistani and Kashmiri flags, raising strong slogans against India’s actions in Kashmir.

During the events, speakers highlighted the unconstitutional measures taken by India on August 5, 2019, when new oppressive laws were imposed upon the people of Kashmir. They condemned the deployment of over 800,000 military personnel in the region and described it as a gross violation of human rights.

Dr. Abdul Shakoor, the Additional Deputy Commissioner, stated that Indian forces have set unprecedented records of oppression against the Kashmiri people. Assistant Commissioner Saad Kaleem called on the international community and human rights organizations to take notice of India’s unjust actions and support the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.

He further emphasized that Pakistan will continue its moral and diplomatic support for the oppressed people of Kashmir as they strive for justice and freedom.
