Balochistan govt to announce job openings for BPS 1-15

The Balochistan Cabinet has approved advertising vacant government job positions from grade 1 to 15 to create more employment opportunities in the province. Additionally, it decided to release the current stock of wheat in the open market to ensure a steady supply of the staple, while refraining from procuring more wheat to maintain adequate reserves.

The cabinet allocated Rs140 million for the Quetta Safe City Project with instructions to complete it by June. During the meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, the cabinet discussed national and provincial matters and approved several key initiatives.

The session began with the condemnation of India’s allegations against Pakistan following the Pahalgam incident, emphasizing that such provocations could endanger regional stability despite Pakistan’s offer for a transparent investigation. The cabinet also expressed sorrow over the tragic incident in Nushki, extending support to affected families and commending the health department and rescue services for their swift response.

Steps were taken to curb smuggling across the province, and an investigation was ordered into the Nushki incident. Several legal and administrative reforms were approved, including establishing a special court to protect the property rights of overseas Pakistanis, amending the Anti-Terrorism Act, and creating a Center of Excellence for Countering Extremism. Policy improvements for civil servants and employees’ benefits were also enacted.

The cabinet introduced regulations aimed at environmental protection, such as a Ship Recycling Law, and implemented measures to abolish bonded labor while safeguarding the rights of persons with disabilities.
