Several people sustained injuries after an armed attack on the Jaffer Express near Ab Gham in the Mach district of Balochistan on Tuesday. Reports indicate that approximately six assailants opened fire on the passenger train, creating widespread panic among travelers.
The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibiity of the attack. According to them BLA has seized the Jaffar Express and taken all the passengers hostage. BLA spokesperson said that the operation is being carried out by the BLA Majeed Brigade Fateh Squad and STOS.
Rescue and security teams swiftly reached the scene, and efforts to locate the attackers are currently underway in the surrounding areas.
Earlier this month, three barbers from Sindh were killed in Panjgur by unidentified attackers. Additionally, on March 7, Mufti Shah Mir Bizenjo, a prominent religious figure, was fatally shot outside a mosque in Turbat.
