Pakistan strongly denounced the Israeli military strikes on Iran, calling them “unjustified and illegitimate” acts of aggression. These strikes targeted key Iranian sites, including nuclear facilities such as Natanz, and resulted in significant casualties, including children in residential areas, according to media reports. The escalation has deeply impacted regional stability and has drawn sharp criticism from nations including Pakistan.
Pakistan’s Foreign Office expressed its condemnation, asserting that the Israeli strikes constitute a violation of Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. “Such actions blatantly contravene the UN Charter and fundamental principles of international law,” the Foreign Office stated in a public release. It also emphasized that Iran has the right to defend itself under Article 51 of the UN Charter.

The widening conflict escalated with Israel declaring a “prolonged operation” aimed at halting Iran’s nuclear development and military capabilities. Iranian media reported that senior military and scientific figures, such as Revolutionary Guards commander Hossein Salami, were killed in the strikes. Alongside targeted attacks on military assets, civilian infrastructure in Tehran faced severe damage, which included the tragic loss of innocent lives.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif unequivocally condemned the attacks, labeling them as alarming violations that undermine an already volatile region. “This grave and highly irresponsible act puts regional and global peace at serious risk,” the premier stated, urging the United Nations and the global community to take swift action to prevent further escalation.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar further criticized the aggression, describing it as an abhorrent violation of international law and a significant disruption to regional stability. “These actions shake the very foundations of international law and the conscience of humanity,” the deputy prime minister declared via social media.
Similarly, Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari expressed solidarity with the people of Iran, offering condolences and urging collective international efforts to de-escalate tensions and uphold the principles of justice and law.
Pakistan reiterated its call for the international community to act immediately. “The international community, particularly the United Nations, must intervene to uphold international law, hold the aggressor accountable, and prevent any further escalation in violence,” emphasized the Foreign Office. These remarks reflect Pakistan’s stance of standing firmly with the Iranian people during this challenging time.
The latest developments highlight growing instability in the region, exacerbating existing global security and economic concerns. Leaders worldwide, led by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, continue to advocate for restraint to avoid further spiraling of this crisis.
