Pakistan will deliver a decisive response to any Indian aggression that will resonate globally without the need for formal announcements, said DG ISPR Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry during a press conference alongside Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar in Islamabad on May 8, 2025.

“When Pakistan responds, the impact will speak for itself,” stated the military spokesperson, categorically rejecting India’s claim that Pakistan targeted 15 Indian sites with drones and missiles. He labeled these accusations as baseless and fabricated, asserting that India’s narrative lacks credibility.

India had launched strikes on Pakistani territories and Azad Jammu and Kashmir earlier on Wednesday, targeting six locations including Ahmedpur East, Muridke, and Muzaffarabad. The attack, termed a “blatant act of war” by Islamabad, resulted in the martyrdom of 31 civilians and injuries to 57 others. Pakistan’s armed forces retaliated by shooting down five Indian Air Force jets, seven drones, and destroying key military installations along the Line of Control.

DG ISPR also highlighted India’s recent provocative strike on Amritsar, claiming that three projectiles were deliberately fired at the city in a calculated move to incite anti-Pakistan sentiments among the Sikh community. He asserted that Pakistan’s forces neutralized a fourth projectile that crossed into Pakistan’s airspace, with its debris falling within Pakistani territory in Denga.

Deputy Prime Minister Dar emphasized that India’s actions aimed at stoking communal tensions within its borders by framing Pakistan for endangering Indian civilians. “This insidious act by the Hindutva regime is a clear attempt to externalize its internal challenges and malign Pakistan,” he said, reiterating Pakistan’s resolve to safeguard regional stability and avoid harm to innocent lives.

Both officials strongly criticized India’s attempts to create a false narrative of aggression, underlining Pakistan’s commitment to peace and regional harmony.
