The federal government has decided to relocate the Federal Constabulary headquarters from Peshawar to Islamabad.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi chaired an important meeting at the CDA headquarters, attended by State Minister for Interior Talal Chaudhry, Interior Secretary, Deputy Commandant of Federal Constabulary, CDA Chairman, IG Islamabad, and DC along with other senior officials.

During the meeting, Mohsin Naqvi directed the identification of land for the Federal Constabulary headquarters and also requested a master plan for the facility. The Interior Minister stated that a suitable location in the capital should be allocated for the Federal Constabulary headquarters, emphasizing that headquarters and training requirements should be specially considered during land identification.

He expressed the desire to establish the Federal Constabulary on modern foundations to create an organized and highly effective force.
