The people of Balochistan have directly benefited from international investments in Balochistan. These projects are for the benefit of the people of Balochistan.
Saindak Copper-Gold Project
Metallurgical Corporation of China (MCC) has paid over $468 million in taxes, fees, and profits to the Balochistan government.
The project contributes to local trade, transportation, and logistics, with MCC procuring materials worth $1.1 billion, supporting thousands of families in surrounding areas.
The project employs over 2,000 people, with 1,549 (87%) from Balochistan, including 734 (42%) from the Chagai District and 439 (25%) from Nushki.

Infrastructure includes a 50 MW power plant (funded by Germany and France), a township with schools, hospitals, and water supply systems for over 2,000 residents, and a 35 km road from Taftan to Saindak.
The Saindak School, funded with an annual contribution of $100,000, educates approximately 600 students,
During the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, MCC donated Rs 43 million in supplies to the Balochistan government and Rs 17.5 million in food and oil for 3,312 poor families.
Reko Diq Project
The project will generate over $1 billion annually for Balochistan through royalties, taxes, and profit shares, with the province holding a 25% stake (15% fully funded, 10% free carried).
In 2022, Barrick made an advance royalty payment of Rs 710 million, and in January 2023, it paid $3 million in advance to Balochistan.
During peak construction, the project is expected to employ 7,500 people, with 4,000 long-term jobs during its 40-year lifespan. Many of these jobs are expected to benefit locals.
The project aims to address Reko Diq’s lack of basic infrastructure, such as drinking water, electricity, and healthcare.
Without international investments, Balochistan can not move forward. These partnerships bring more improved infrastructure, better economic opportunities, and employment generation in the province.
The local economy is totally dependent on snuggling and government jobs. These international investments are creating employment opportunities for the people of Balochistan. Each project is negotiated by the Government of Balochistan and for the benefit of Balochistan.
With News projects and investment, Balochistan will rise.The potential is great. Without international partnerships, Balochistan’s resource potential would remain untapped due to limited domestic capital and technical expertise.
