PM proposes transparent investigation to India on Pahalgam attack

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has issued a strong warning to India, asserting that Pakistan will respond decisively if its water supply is disrupted. Speaking at the passing-out parade of cadets at the Pakistan Military Academy in Kakul, the Prime Minister emphasized that any attempt to stop, reduce, or divert Pakistan’s water under the Indus Waters Treaty would be met with “full force and might.”

Additionally, the Prime Minister offered India a neutral and transparent investigation into the recent Pahalgam incident, which Pakistan has described as a “false flag” operation. He reiterated Pakistan’s condemnation of terrorism in all forms and stressed that credible, impartial investigations are necessary to avoid baseless blame games and unverified allegations.

During his speech, Shehbaz Sharif highlighted Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to national security, affirming that no compromise would be made when it comes to the country’s defense and survival. He also expressed pride in the cadets and emphasized the role of the armed forces as a symbol of unity and strength. Furthermore, the Prime Minister underscored the government’s focus on achieving economic stability, stating that national interests will always remain a priority.

The ceremony was attended by high-ranking civil and military officials, including Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, and Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, as well as foreign diplomats. The event commenced with the cadets performing the national anthem, and awards were presented for outstanding achievements. Key accolades included the Presidential Gold Medal awarded to Under Officer Zain-ul-Abidin and the Honorary Sword presented to Under Officer Muhammad Hanan Malik.
