Hub Bridge Reopens: Enhancing travel and trade between Balochistan & Sindh

The National Logistics Corporation (NLC) has successfully completed the much-awaited construction of the Hub Bridge over the Hub River, reestablishing a key travel route between Balochistan and Sindh.

Originally destroyed by floods in 2002, the 488-foot-long, two-lane bridge has been completely rebuilt and is now open for public use. This vital restoration has drastically improved travel between the two regions by offering a safer, faster, and smoother route.

The operational Hub Bridge has also eased traffic flow on the N-25 highway, minimizing travel challenges for commuters. It will play a crucial role in fostering economic growth and strengthening trade activities in the region.

Benefits of the New Hub Bridge:

  • Uninterrupted Transport:

The reconstructed bridge ensures the free movement of passengers and goods, streamlining logistics across the provinces.

  • Economic Growth:

By enhancing connectivity, the bridge is expected to boost local trade and commerce and invigorate the regional economy.

  • Safer, Shorter Journeys:

The upgraded structure offers a secure and efficient travel route for the people of both Balochistan and Sindh.

Despite challenges such as resource limitations, the NLC’s dedication to meeting deadlines ensured that the team completed this critical project. The bridge is a testament to the collaboration and determination to provide better infrastructure for local communities.
