Security forces carried out a successful joint intelligence-based operation in Balochistan, recovering a large quantity of narcotics hidden in the mountainous terrain of Jewani in Gwadar district.

According to officials, the operation was conducted jointly by the Pakistan Coast Guards and the Pakistan Navy, resulting in the recovery of a massive cache of drugs concealed in remote mountainous areas.

Authorities seized 1,050 kilograms of hashish and 200 kilograms of crystal meth (ice) during the operation.

Officials said the international market value of the seized narcotics is estimated at approximately $110 million.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the drugs were intended to be smuggled abroad through maritime routes.

A spokesperson for the Pakistan Coast Guards stated that the force remains committed to preventing drug trafficking and dismantling the networks involved in the illegal trade.

The spokesperson added that drug trafficking networks provide organized financial support to terrorist groups, making their elimination a critical priority for security agencies.

Authorities emphasized that operations against narcotics smuggling will continue across Balochistan’s coastal regions, which are often used by international trafficking networks.
