
Governor of Balochistan, Jaffar Khan Mandokhel, emphasized the importance of strengthening ties between Pakistan and Germany, highlighting their longstanding friendship and shared vision for development, prosperity, and peace.
Speaking during a meeting with the Consul General of Germany, Murad Baloch, at the Governor House in Quetta on Thursday, Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhel expressed a keen interest in enhancing cooperation in key sectors such as higher education, healthcare, solar energy, and modern technology.
Jaffar khan noted that Germany is globally recognized for its high-quality yet affordable higher education system and expressed a desire for German educational institutions to partner with universities in Balochistan. Such collaborations, he said, would open the doors to world-class education and research opportunities for the province’s youth.

The Governor also highlighted the potential role of the German government in supporting Baloch students through scholarships and academic guidance. “Germany offers one of the best education systems in the world at a very low cost, and our youth can greatly benefit from this,” he stated.
Jaffar Khan Mandokhel acknowledged Germany’s continued support in development initiatives across various districts of Balochistan, especially during times of natural disasters. He appreciated Germany’s timely assistance during recent floods and specifically mentioned the construction of 800 houses as part of the rehabilitation efforts in Hanha Orak.
While reflecting on Germany’s historical contributions, he praised the country’s legacy of renowned thinkers, scientists, and poets, adding that German-made products are globally recognized for their high quality and standards.
Governor Jaffar Mandokhel concluded by stating that the collaboration of developed countries like Germany and support from international organizations can play a vital role in addressing Balochistan’s developmental challenges and ensuring access to basic facilities for its people.
