Pakistan’s security forces have killed four terrorists belonging to the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) during an intelligence-based operation in Panjgur district of Balochistan.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was carried out after credible intelligence regarding the presence of Khwarij belonging to Indian proxy, Fitna al Khwarij terrorists in the area. Security forces targeted a terrorist hideout and engaged the militants in a fierce exchange of fire, resulting in the killing of four terrorists.

The ISPR said weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from the possession of the killed terrorists, who were actively involved in multiple terrorist activities in the region.

Security sources said the operation took place in the Tasp area of Panjgur, where two senior TTP commanders were also neutralised. The commanders were identified as Abdul Mutalib and Saleem, also known as “Rocketi.”

According to sources, Abdul Mutalib was a high-value target and was wanted in several terrorism-related cases. He had previously served in the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) before joining the banned terrorist outfit.

The ISPR said sanitisation operations are ongoing in the area to eliminate any remaining terrorists. The military reiterated that security forces will continue counter-terrorism operations under the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam until the threat of terrorism is completely eliminated.
