Security forces killed four terrorists in an intelligence-based operation on November 4 in Kalat, Balochistan. ISPR says terrorists linked to India-backed networks were involved in multiple attacks.

A proscribed banned terrorist group has confirmed that four of its members were killed in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) carried out by security forces in Balochistan’s Kalat district on November 4.

According to a statement issued by the terrorists organization, the incident took place at around 7:30pm in the mountainous Koh Nagai range, where security forces launched a targeted operation on confirmed intelligence. The group identified the slain militants as Mudassir Shahwani alias Sarbuland, Shahbaz Marri alias Peer Jan, Shakir Jatoi alias Rodeen, and Haris Shahi alias Aftab.

Shahwani was affiliated with the banned Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), while Marri joined the outlawed United Baloch Army (UBA) in 2019 and had been involved in violent activities against members of the local Baloch community.

The confirmation follows a separate operation earlier this month in Kalat, where security forces neutralised four terrorists linked to Fitna-e-Al-Hindustan, an India-backed proxy network. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), troops conducted the November 1 operation after receiving credible intelligence about the presence of foreign-sponsored militants in the area.

The operation resulted in the killing of four terrorists and the recovery of weapons and ammunition. ISPR said the militants were involved in multiple acts of sabotage, adding that sanitisation efforts in the vicinity remain ongoing to ensure the complete elimination of their network.

The military reiterated that counterterrorism actions under Operation Azm-e-Istehkam would continue with full force. “The complete eradication of foreign-sponsored terrorism from Pakistan is a national resolve,” ISPR stated.
