Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti has directed immediate measures to address fuel and food shortages in districts bordering Iran, following disruptions reportedly linked to the Iran-Israel conflict.
During a meeting, the chief minister evaluated the availability of essential supplies, security measures, and plans for the safe return of pilgrims and students from Iran. While officials reported no significant food shortages, some accounts suggested supply disruptions in affected areas. Sarfraz Bugti instructed departments to secure uninterrupted food and fuel supplies and to explore alternatives for electricity and LPG provisions.

He highlighted ongoing coordination between the provincial government and federal authorities, specifically the petroleum ministry, to ensure timely fuel deliveries to all the areas. The CM emphasized the importance of proactive and cooperative efforts to support border communities. Additionally, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) was tasked with maintaining an emergency contingency plan to respond swiftly to potential crises.
