Addressing Pakistan’s Education Crisis

According to Balochistan Pulse, Ahsan Iqbal said that over 25 million children in Pakistan are currently out of school, calling it a serious national challenge. He stressed that raising the literacy rate to 90 percent is essential for sustainable national development.

He reaffirmed the federal government’s commitment to investing in education under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) and supporting provinces in establishing modern institutions like Daanish Schools. He added that these facilities will also be open to day scholars, ensuring wider access and promoting social equity.

Ahsan Iqbal further emphasized that shifting from rote learning to modern pedagogical methods will empower Pakistan’s youth and help create a skilled workforce capable of driving economic growth.

The Daanish Schools initiative is being seen as a major step toward an inclusive and forward-looking education system, especially for children living in remote and underserved areas of Balochistan.
