Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has said that public interest and welfare-oriented projects are being implemented for the development of Balochistan, emphasizing that the youth play a vital role in sustainable progress.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Army Chief addressed participants of the 17th National Workshop Balochistan at the General Headquarters (GHQ), where he said Balochistan is the pride of Pakistan and holds immense economic potential that must be utilized for the benefit of its people.
The Field Marshal stressed that long-term prosperity in Balochistan requires working beyond political interests, highlighting that both federal and provincial governments are committed to implementing people-centered development projects. He noted that comprehensive steps are being taken to improve the province’s socio-economic infrastructure.
“Balochistan’s vast economic resources must be harnessed in the public interest,” he said, adding that civil society’s constructive role and youth empowerment are key drivers for the province’s sustainable development.
India-Backed Terror Groups Spreading Anti-Peace Agenda: Field Marshal
Field Marshal Asim Munir warned that India-backed terror groups, including Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij, are attempting to destabilize Balochistan through disinformation and violence.
He said these groups are spreading anti-state propaganda and working against the peace and progress of Balochistan. “The enemies of Pakistan are trying to damage the province’s peace narrative, but our armed forces are conducting decisive operations against all terrorists threatening internal stability,” he added.
‘No Compromise on National Integrity’
The Field Marshal reaffirmed that Pakistan desires regional peace and stability, but there will be no compromise on national security or sovereignty. “Any external or internal aggression will be met with a strong and decisive response,” he asserted.
He reiterated that the prosperity, peace, and progress of Balochistan remain the state’s top priority.
At the conclusion of the workshop, a question-and-answer session was held where participants praised the role of Pakistan’s armed forces in ensuring peace, development, and stability in the province.
