Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, has said that the future of Balochistan and Pakistan is inseparable, stressing that peace, stability, and youth empowerment are essential to unlocking the province’s vast economic potential.
Speaking to tribal elders, politicians, and social leaders from Balochistan, the Field Marshal described the province as a land of talented, resilient, patriotic, and dignified people. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), he emphasized that a clear national narrative and lasting peace are critical for accelerating development and attracting investment to Balochistan.
“Balochistan and Pakistan share one present and one future, and this bond will always remain strong,” he said.
Field Marshal Asim Munir noted that sustainable peace would help transform Balochistan’s rich natural and human resources into economic prosperity, creating new opportunities for local communities and strengthening Pakistan’s overall growth.
Highlighting the role of young people, he described the youth of Balochistan as the province’s greatest strength and a key driver of future progress. He stressed that empowering young through education, skills development, and participation in national development initiatives is vital for long-term stability and prosperity.
The army chief also warned against what he termed foreign-sponsored proxy groups, stating that Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan are working to destabilize Balochistan, obstruct development projects, and create divisions between the state and the people.
He said hostile elements seek to undermine peace and progress in the province but vowed that their efforts would be defeated through the collective resolve of the nation and the state’s decisive response.
Field Marshal Munir praised the role played by tribal elders and community leaders in promoting peace and social harmony, urging them to actively counter misinformation and hostile propaganda targeting Balochistan.
He stressed the importance of projecting the province’s true image by highlighting its development, economic opportunities, and the aspirations of its people.
“The destiny of Balochistan lies in the hands of its people,” he said, calling for unity and collective efforts to ensure a peaceful and prosperous future.
Participants at the meeting reaffirmed their commitment to peace, development, and stability in Balochistan. They also pledged to work alongside state institutions and the armed forces to counter foreign-backed threats and contribute to people-centric development initiatives across the province.
The participants expressed confidence that hostile narratives against Balochistan would ultimately fail, overwhelmed by the realities of progress, resilience, and the determination of its people.
