Field Marshal Asim Munir visits command and staff college in Quetta

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), Chief of Army Staff (COAS), visited the Command and Staff College Quetta, where he addressed student officers and faculty on the occasion.

During his address, Field Marshal Munir paid tribute to the martyrs of Operation ‘Bunyanum Marsoos,’ expressing solidarity with their families. He acknowledged the unwavering support of the people of Pakistan, who, under national leadership, formed a “wall of steel” in defense of the nation. Praising the professionalism and commitment of the country’s armed forces, the COAS highlighted the success of ‘Ma’arka-e-Haq’ as a symbol of unity and synergy across all elements of national power.

The Field Marshal discussed the global and regional security landscape, emphasizing the challenges posed by India’s increasing tendency toward unprovoked military aggression. He reiterated Pakistan’s resolve to defeat any aggression and tackle threats across the spectrum of conflict while underlining that Pakistan will not be coerced. Furthermore, he called for a peaceful resolution to the Kashmir dispute, essential for South Asia’s long-term stability, and condemned India’s “hydro terrorism” as unlawful and unsustainable.

Highlighting India’s involvement in terrorism within Pakistan, Field Marshal Asim Munir reinforced Pakistan’s commitment to its counterterrorism efforts. He expressed confidence in the nation’s ability to conclude its fight against all forms of terrorism successfully.

Addressing student officers, Field Marshal Asim Munir underscored the importance of leadership, urging them to approach their duties with dedication, passion, and resolve. He stressed the need for innovative thinking and research to prepare for future battles and commended the Command and Staff College for shaping military leaders committed to excellence. “Training must not only reflect the realities of today but prepare us for future battlefields, requiring agility, innovation, and resolve,” he remarked.

Upon his arrival in Quetta, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir was welcomed by Commander Quetta Corps and the Commandant of the Command and Staff College.
