Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti participated via video link in a meeting of the Federal Ministry of Maritime Affairs.

During the meeting, the proposal to launch a ferry service between Gwadar and Oman was discussed. The initiative is aimed at facilitating pilgrims and the general public. Chief Minister Bugti stated that the provincial government would extend full cooperation for the ferry project.

He welcomed the establishment of a water plant in Gwadar under the Gwadar Port Authority (GPA), noting that the facility will provide 1.2 million gallons of clean water to residents daily. He also highlighted the role of the Pak-China Technical and Vocational Center in providing internationally standard training to the youth.

Mir Sarfraz Bugti said that the goal is to equip 30,000 young people with skills to enable them to secure employment opportunities abroad. He emphasized that technical training for Balochistan’s youth is key to building a prosperous future.

The Chief Minister added that the Balochistan government would continue to support the full operationalization of Gwadar Port at every level. He assured that all development projects under the Gwadar Port Authority would receive full backing, stating, “The development of Gwadar is the development of Balochistan.”
