According to officials, the attacks began with armed men using automatic weapons to target the Levies post, immediately followed by an assault on the FC checkpoint. Responding swiftly, Levies personnel took strategic positions on a nearby mountain, enabling them to repel the attack effectively
“Their elevated position prevented the militants from advancing, ensuring the attack was stopped in its tracks,” a senior Balochistan Levies official stated.
The FC post was struck simultaneously by militants, triggering a firefight between the attackers and security personnel. Two militants were neutralized during the clash, while one was injured. Despite the successful defense, the efforts came at the cost of an FC soldier who embraced martyrdom during the intense gun battle.
Officials praised the quick and coordinated response of the security forces, which ensured that the attackers were unable to achieve their objectives.
