FC Headquarters Nokkundi attack, security forces securing perimeter after VBIED blast in Chagai.
“Security forces quickly responded to the FC Headquarters Nokkundi attack. The Quick Reaction Force neutralized all terrorists before they could enter the compound.”

Security forces successfully repelled a coordinated terrorist assault on the Frontier Corps (FC) Headquarters in Nokkundi on Sunday, killing at least four terrorists in a swift retaliatory operation, according to FC Balochistan South.

The attack began when a suicide bomber detonated a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (VBIED) at the main gate of the headquarters, causing the gate and an adjacent sentry room to collapse. Following the explosion, armed terrorists opened fire in an attempt to breach the facility.

The Quick Reaction Force (QRF) responded immediately, engaging the attackers outside the perimeter. Officials confirmed that no terrorist managed to enter the HQ, and all assailants were neutralized outside the compound.

Security forces stated that one soldier was martyred while five others sustained injuries during the exchange of fire.

According to the FC spokesperson, a comprehensive search and clearance operation is currently under way across the area to trace facilitators and operatives believed to be linked to Indian-backed terrorist networks.

Simultaneous Attack in Panjgur

While the Nokkundi operation was ongoing, a checkpost in the Gurmakan area of Panjgur district also reportedly came under attack. Security forces effectively responded, preventing further escalation.

Background: Similar Attack Foiled in Quetta

On September 30, security forces foiled a major assault in Quetta, killing eight militants—including a suicide bomber—who attempted to storm the Frontier Constabulary headquarters disguised in FC uniforms.
Officials said the terrorists were affiliated with the Fitna al Khawarij TTP.

Authorities believe the latest attacks are part of a wider pattern of coordinated militant activity targeting security installations in Balochistan.
