Four Frontier Constabulary (FC) personnel were martyred and three suffered injuries in a roadside explosion targeting a security vehicle in Quetta’s Margate area, according to local police on Friday.
With rising militant activity in regions like Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, security forces have ramped up counterterrorism efforts to address the escalating threat.

Quetta’s Hanna Urak Station House Officer, Naveed Akhtar, reported that the targeted attack involved an improvised explosive device (IED), aimed specifically at the bomb disposal unit of security forces operating in a suburban area.
The deadly explosion claimed the lives of four FC members, including Subedar Shahzad Amin, Naib Subedar Abbas, Sepoy Khalil, and Sepoy Zahid. The injured personnel, identified as Lance Naik Zafar, Lines Naik Farooq, and Sepoy Khurram Saleem, were immediately transferred to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) for medical attention.
Security forces quickly cordoned off the area and launched an ongoing search operation to apprehend those responsible for the attack.
