The Balochistan Food Authority (BFA) has taken action against a factory producing counterfeit and hazardous cold drinks in the Kechi Baig area near Qambrani Road, Quetta. Acting on a tip-off, the BFA team raided the location, seizing thousands of liters of unsafe beverages, along with fake labels, empty bottles, and filling machines. These beverages were found to be distributed across Quetta and other districts in the province.
The factory was sealed immediately, and legal action has been initiated against those responsible. The confiscated beverages were later destroyed. BFA Director General Waqar Khurshid Alam emphasized the authority’s commitment to safeguarding public health and vowed to continue actions against the production and sale of fake and harmful food items.
