During the meeting, Shakeel Qadir Khan announced the creation of nearly 215,000 new positions in the private sector. “Offering jobs is among the government’s primary responsibilities,” he said. He also emphasized the government’s dedication to ensuring young people are employed. “We aim to equip them with the skills necessary to support themselves,” he added.
The Chief Secretary presented a comprehensive strategy for job creation in different sectors, emphasizing that the Energy Department will provide 5,000 jobs. In contrast, the mining sector and technical and vocational education and training (TVET) will generate 30,000 positions each. Moreover, microfinance programmes aim to create 40,000 jobs, the industrial sector will offer 20,000 roles, and the information technology (IT) sector will include an additional 40,000 positions. Different departments are pursuing initiatives to discover additional job prospects to assist the province’s youth.

In the meeting, Shakeel Qadir Khan highlighted that they would give jobs in the public sector exclusively based on merit. He emphasized, “The time of marketing government positions has ended.” “Resources will be designated to assist young men and women, guaranteeing transparency and accountability in employment initiatives,” he proclaimed.
>The initiative will also emphasize entrepreneurship, designating considerable resources for business projects, and enabling young people to follow self-sufficient career paths.

The Chief Secretary emphasized the significance of skill development in decreasing unemployment. “Educating young people and empowering them to earn on their own is a vital approach to addressing unemployment,” he stated. The government plans to offer financial support, guidance, and training options to ensure that young people adequately prepare to fulfil market needs.

He also mentioned that the current economic growth in Balochistan is likely to generate additional job opportunities in the future. “The advantages of economic growth will now directly impact the population, particularly the youth, improving their quality of life and aiding in the province’s overall development,” he remarked.

Shakeel Qadir Khan shared his hope regarding the program’s effects. He noted that developed nations ensure complete employment for their residents. They also attract talented individuals from abroad.

“We aim to establish a comparable environment in Balochistan where all youth can access opportunities and resources for success,” he stated.

The government’s diverse strategy involves offering skill development opportunities, monetary aid, and institutional backing to enable the youth to succeed. The Chief Secretary emphasised that he directed every department to operate at full speed to guarantee the program’s success.

This initiative represents a meaningful advancement in empowering Balochistan’s youth and tackling unemployment through inclusive and sustainable strategies.
