
Balochistan’s Agricultural Expert Dr. Javed Tareen Makes History With Global Recognition
Renowned agricultural expert Dr. Muhammad Javed Tareen, hailing from Balochistan, has achieved a landmark honor for Pakistan by being nominated as a member of the World Agriculture Forum Global Council — a first for any Pakistani agricultural scientist.
The World Agriculture Forum is a leading international body committed to promoting sustainable agriculture, modern scientific innovation, and advanced agri-technology across the globe. Its membership selection process is known for strict professional standards and international credibility.
Dr. Tareen completed his PhD at Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi, followed by advanced research on modern agricultural technology and climate change at Curtin University, Australia.
In his statement after the nomination, Dr. Tareen said the honor represents a moment of pride not only for him, but for Pakistan and Balochistan. He vowed to use the global platform to highlight Pakistan’s agricultural potential and support sustainable farming practices.
