The Government of Balochistan has taken a significant step by releasing Rs50 billion in development funds on the first night of the 2025–26 fiscal year. This move showcases the provincial government’s commitment to accelerating public development initiatives without delay.
The notification of fund disbursement was issued by the Balochistan Finance Department shortly after midnight on July 1. The release aligns with the vision of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, supported by Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan and executed under the leadership of Secretary of Finance Imran Zarkoon. By ensuring fund allocation on the very first day of the fiscal year, the government has demonstrated administrative efficiency and financial readiness.

Officials have stated that these funds will be directed toward critical sectors, including health, education, irrigation, energy, road infrastructure, and drinking water supply. The primary objective is to ensure swift implementation of approved development projects, delivering tangible benefits to the people of Balochistan in the shortest time possible.
Last year’s fiscal approach emphasized strategy-driven reviews, consistent monitoring, and timely resource allocation, resulting in the successful completion of numerous public welfare projects. This year’s early fund release indicates the government’s determination to sustain this momentum, improving the overall framework for development delivery across the province.
