Dalbandin: Two policemen martyred, dacoit killed in operation

Two police officers were killed, and a senior officer was injured during a shootout with a group of dacoits in the Dalbandin area of Chagai district on Thursday. The operation, led by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Abid Sherazi, resulted in the death of one dacoit and the arrest of another.

Acting on intelligence reports about the presence of dacoits in a local house, the police launched an operation in Dalbandin, cordoning off the area. Upon the arrival of law enforcement, the dacoits opened fire, leading to a heavy exchange of gunfire.

Tragically, two police officers, identified as Baloch and Safeer, succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds. DSP Abid Sherazi, who was also injured, along with two other wounded officers, was transported to the district hospital for treatment. The body of the deceased dacoit has been sent to a hospital for further formalities, while the captured suspect is now in police custody.

According to officials, the suspects had been involved in multiple highway robberies and were wanted in several cases. The police have initiated further investigations and are continuing efforts in the region to ensure no other suspects remain at large.
