The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of Balochistan police reported the death of three militants during an operation in Barkhan on Monday.
According to a CTD spokesperson, the intelligence-based operation took place in the Tang Krier area in collaboration with other security agencies. It was initiated following reports of the movement of suspected militants in the Balochistan.

When security forces surrounded the area, the suspects opened fire, prompting a retaliatory response. The exchange of fire lasted over an hour and resulted in the deaths of three individuals associated with the banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA).
Some militants managed to escape into nearby mountains under the cover of darkness. The CTD confirmed that a follow-up operation is ongoing to locate them.
During the operation, security personnel uncovered a substantial cache of weapons, including submachine guns, pistols, and improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
