CTD eliminated nine terrorists in Pishin operation

The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) carried out an intelligence-based operation in Khanoi Baba, Pishin district, Balochistan, resulting in the deaths of nine suspected terrorists during an intense exchange of gunfire.

The operation, initiated after credible intelligence reports about militant activity in the area, led to a fierce clash during which nine alleged militants were neutralized. According to the CTD spokesperson, the operation targeted individuals believed to be involved in subversive activities aimed at destabilizing the province.

Balochistan’s Chief Minister, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, lauded the efforts of the CTD and other law enforcement agencies for their swift and decisive action. “Our brave security forces are pivotal in safeguarding Balochistan. We remain resolute in eliminating threats to peace and ensuring the safety of our citizens,” he said.

During the operation, authorities recovered a significant cache of weapons, including automatic firearms, grenades, and ammunition. Officials linked the slain suspects to various terror-related incidents and confirmed that they had been under surveillance for their involvement in attacks targeting the stability of the region.

The CTD spokesperson called the operation “a critical success” in the ongoing fight against terrorism, emphasizing its importance in advancing peace efforts in Balochistan. Security remains heightened in the surrounding areas as investigations continue.
