Corps Commanders’ Conference warned that no one would be allowed to disrupt peace in Balochistan. Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir chaired the 268th Corps Commanders’ Conference at the General Headquarters, where the military leadership vowed to thwart all attempts to destabilize Balochistan decisively.
Reaffirming that no one would disrupt peace in the province, the forum condemned foreign-sponsored proxies, their political backers, and social disruptors pursuing narrow interests at the cost of national unity, as stated by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The commanders expressed a firm resolve to expose and eliminate the nexus of internal and external elements seeking to create chaos in Balochistan.
The forum offered Fatiha and paid tribute to the sacrifices of Shuhada of the Armed Forces, Law Enforcement Agencies, and the citizens who have laid down their lives for peace and stability in the country. A comprehensive briefing was given on the prevailing geo-strategic environment, emerging national security challenges, and Pakistan’s strategic response to evolving threats.
The forum resolved to eradicate terrorism in all forms and manifestations, regardless of the cost, and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to bringing the full force of the state against facilitators and abettors acting on behalf of hostile elements seeking to destabilize the country. They stated that the nefarious designs of foreign-sponsored proxies, including social disruptive elements and their political supporters focused on narrow interests at the cost of Balochistan’s stability, would be decisively thwarted with the unwavering support of the people of Balochistan.
The meeting emphasized the swift and effective implementation of Vision Azm-e-Istehkam under the National Action Plan (NAP). They stressed the need for a whole-of-the-nation approach in which state apparatus and institutions would implement the law resolutely within the Constitution. The initiation of district coordination committees across Pakistan was lauded, as was the necessity of sustained, coordinated efforts in alignment with governmental directives to expedite the NAP implementation and ensure inter-institutional collaboration.
COAS reiterated that the Pakistan Army would provide full support to the government and law enforcement agencies (LEAs) in taking stringent legal measures against illicit economic activities, which are intrinsically linked to terrorism financing. He emphasized that there would be no tolerance for terrorists and their facilitators in Pakistan.
The forum expressed concern over human rights violations in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and condemned the Indian Army’s unprovoked ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC). They affirmed Pakistan’s unyielding support for the just cause of IIOJK and called for sustained diplomatic efforts to bring global attention to these human rights abuses.
Solidarity was also expressed with the people of Palestine, condemning human rights violations and war crimes in Gaza. The forum reiterated Pakistan’s diplomatic, political, and moral support for Palestine.
General Munir concluded the conference by directing field commanders to maintain high standards of operational readiness and professional excellence through rigorous training to ensure peak combat preparedness.
