The British High Commissioner Jane Marriott met with the Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti, where they agreed to enhance the capacity of the CTD police.
During the meeting between Sarfraz Bugti and Jane Marriott, detailed discussions took place on bilateral cooperation, the impacts of climate change, good governance, improvement of law and order, reforms in the education and health sectors, and the province’s development strategy.

The Chief Minister of Balochistan stated that climate change is an extraordinary challenge, and to address its effects, the province has established its first Climate Fund. He further shared that continuous efforts are being made to improve governance and promote transparency, and during the last financial year, 1.4 billion PKR was saved from the non-development budget.
British High Commissioner Jane Marriott praised the establishment of good governance and the reform initiatives taken by the provincial government. The meeting also saw an agreement to increase training and cooperation in various sectors to boost the professional capacity of the CTD police.
