Cold winds have swept across Quetta and the northern parts of Balochistan, sending temperatures plummeting as winter makes an early appearance in the province.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Quetta recorded a minimum temperature of 2°C during the past 24 hours, while Kalat dropped to 0°C. In Ziarat, mercury dipped below freezing at -1°C, and Zhob and Chaman recorded 7°C.

Residents Feel the Chill as Winter Arrives

The sudden fall in temperature has prompted residents to take out warm clothing, blankets, and heaters.
Health officials reported a rise in flu, cough, and chest infection cases, as people adjust to the changing weather.

Meteorologists said most parts of Balochistan will remain dry over the coming days, though cold conditions will persist, particularly in northern districts during early morning and night hours.
