Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir has reaffirmed the army’s steadfast commitment to combating terrorism and advancing socio-economic development in Balochistan for national cohesion and integration.
Speaking at the 16th National Workshop Balochistan, attended by parliamentarians, civil society representatives, civil servants, academicians, media personnel, and youth, COAS emphasized the importance of development initiatives in the province. He advocated for enhanced inter-agency cooperation and a unified national approach to drive Balochistan’s progress and advance the entire nation.

The army chief condemned India’s sponsorship of terror proxies, characterizing these efforts as failed attempts to undermine the patriotism of the people of Balochistan. He called attention to India’s escalated proxy warfare, citing “Fitna-al-Khawarij” and “Fitna-al-Hindustan” as elements of a hybrid war strategy against Pakistan. COAS reiterated that these efforts had already faced humiliation in Ma’arka e Haq and would meet a similar fate in the future.
Additionally, COAS stressed that terrorism transcends religion, sect, or ethnicity and called for a unified national response to confront this menace effectively. Reaffirming Pakistan’s dedication to regional peace, he highlighted the nation’s readiness to decisively address external and internal threats, safeguard national dignity, and ensure the security and well-being of its citizens.
