Any Indian misadventure to be met with swift response: COAS

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir has made a firm statement reinforcing Pakistan’s commitment to safeguarding its sovereignty and territorial integrity. While visiting the Tilla Field Firing Ranges on Thursday, May 1, 2025, Gen Munir emphasized that any military misadventure by India would be met with a “swift, resolute, and notch-up response,” according to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The visit included his observation of Exercise Hammer Strike, a high-intensity field training operation conducted by the Mangla Strike Corps. This exercise highlighted Pakistan Army’s combat proficiency and its adoption of advanced techniques to simulate near-battlefield conditions effectively.

Addressing the troops, COAS expressed unwavering resolve, stating, “While Pakistan remains committed to regional peace, our preparedness and resolve to safeguard national interests is absolute.” He commended the troops for their high morale, exceptional combat skills, and embodiment of operational excellence.
