Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir delivered a compelling speech at the inaugural Overseas Pakistanis Convention in Islamabad, emphasizing Pakistan’s resilience and strength against adversity.
“Even ten number of generations of terrorists can harm Balochistan or Pakistan,” COAS stated, underscoring Balochistan’s importance as a symbol of national pride and a key to the country’s future. He firmly reiterated that Pakistan’s success is guaranteed as long as its citizens stand united with the nation’s armed forces.
Army Chief hailed the patriotism of the global Pakistani diaspora, expressing admiration for their unwavering connection to their homeland. “You are the brilliance of Pakistan that shines across the world,” he said, referring to overseas Pakistanis as not just representatives but ambassadors of the nation. Rejecting the idea of a “brain drain,” he reframed it as a “brain gain” and encouraged the diaspora to share Pakistan’s rich legacy with upcoming generations.
Highlighting Pakistan’s abundant natural resources, COAS called for gratitude and shared responsibility. “Together, we send a clear message that Pakistan’s progress is unstoppable, and any obstacle will be removed.” He also reinforced Pakistan’s commitment to its rich civilizational and ideological identity, stating, “We do not bow to adversity and never will.”
The army chief paid tribute to the nation’s martyrs, honoring their sacrifices as eternal. He also voiced solidarity with Kashmir and Palestine, reaffirming support for Kashmir as Pakistan’s “jugular vein” and standing with the people of Gaza.
Closing with an optimistic outlook, qrmy chief declared, “The question is not whether Pakistan will progress, but how fast.” The address concluded with attendees passionately chanting, “Pakistan Zindabad,” capturing the spirit of unity and resilience.
