Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfaraz Bugti visited Sui on Friday where he inaugurated key development projects including the Sui Ring Road and several gas supply initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure and public services in the region.
During the visit, Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) organized a cheque distribution ceremony attended by tribal elders, local notables, and a large number of residents.
On the occasion, the chief minister also distributed certificates of appreciation among employees who demonstrated outstanding performance, praising their dedication and professional commitment.
Addressing the gathering, Bugti said the Balochistan government is committed to ensuring balanced development across all regions of the province. He emphasized that improving infrastructure, expanding access to basic facilities, and investing in education remain key priorities of the provincial government.
“The day is not far when the youth of Balochistan will achieve a prominent place in the field of education,” Bugti said, encouraging students to work hard and use their abilities to bring recognition to their region and the province.
He added that education plays a vital role in development and prosperity, and that promoting education opens new opportunities for progress while bringing positive change to society.
The chief minister further said that projects related to roads, gas supply, and basic infrastructure are being implemented to provide better facilities to the public. He noted that the pace of development will be accelerated in remote and underdeveloped areas so that residents can enjoy an improved standard of living.
In recent months, a narrative had circulated suggesting that despite the presence of gas reserves in Sui, local residents still rely on firewood for cooking. However, the inauguration of new gas supply projects and infrastructure initiatives highlights ongoing efforts to expand access to energy and improve living conditions in the area.
