The Balochistan Charity and Regulation Authority (BCRA) has officially revoked the registrations of all non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and welfare organizations previously recorded under the provincial department of social welfare guidelines.
According to BCRA Director General Saleem Khosa, approximately 1,500 entities—including NGOs, foundations, trusts, madrassas, mosques, associations, and community organizations—are now required to re-register with the authority by July 31, 2025.
Failing to meet the re-registration deadline will result in strict legal action overseen by deputy commissioners, who now hold the authority to impose severe penalties. These include imprisonment of up to one year, fines as high as Rs2 million, or both, ensuring compliance with the updated regulatory structure.
