Chagai –Armed men belonging to the proscribed Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) targeted a water supply project in Killi Kochal, Chagai, setting fire to dozens of pipes at the construction site.
According to sources, the armed men arrived at the project site, deliberately set the water supply pipes on fire, and fled the scene before security forces could respond. The incident resulted in the destruction of approximately 30 to 40 pipes, causing a significant setback to the project.
Security forces have launched an investigation and a search operation is underway in the area. Officials believe the attack was a deliberate attempt to sabotage ongoing development work in the region.
District authorities and concerned departments have strongly condemned the act, vowing that such cowardly attempts to hinder progress will not succeed and that all public welfare projects will continue as planned.
