Balochistan cabinet approves plans for security and development

The Balochistan cabinet has approved a series of measures to enhance security, foster economic growth, and improve public welfare in the province. During a meeting led by Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, key decisions were made to address the law and order situation and promote development.

On the security front, the establishment of two new police stations in Kohlu and new Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) stations in Rakhani and Barkhan were approved, alongside additional security measures for Mangi Dam and amendments to CTD jurisdictions in Loralai and Sibi.

For public health, the cabinet decided to revive non-functional hospitals in collaboration with the Pakistan Army to ensure healthcare access at the local level. Agriculture policies saw progress with the introduction of the Green Tractor scheme, offering farmers a 50% subsidy on tractors, and the elevation of crop reporters from Grade 6 to Grade 11 following a Supreme Court decision.

Economic measures included the creation of a Balochistan Mineral Development Fund aimed at ensuring the transparent use of resources and promoting investment.
