Quetta will, for the first time, host the International Boxing Championship on the 3rd of May. The event will feature 8 international bouts, with Australian, British, Kazakh, Mexican, and Venezuelan athletes and officials attending the event.
On May 3, the first International Boxing Championship will take place in Quetta, featuring eight international bouts, including a match between Muhammad Waseem and Weston Aruno for the IBO bantamweight Championship.
As a result of this international boxing championship, Balochistan will be marked by a turning point in its sporting history and will surely improve the province’s recognition on the international sporting stage in the future.
In the last three months, the local administration along with the Pakistan Army, have been successful in organizing mega events in the region, which incorporated tourism and other cultural activities in the province.
Balochistan also witnessed the much acclaimed Jhal Magsi Jeep Rally, Sibi Mela, and the Nushki Golden Desert Jeep Rally to tell the world about the province’s unique heritage as well as its potential in adventure sports. The province also conducted the much anticipated Quetta Eat Festival, which was held from the 21st to 23rd of February, where local and international cuisines were on display.
