Two personnel from the Pakistan Coast Guards were injured on Monday when a remote-controlled bomb hit their patrol vehicle in Jiwani. Meanwhile, a Levies official survived unscathed when a roadside bomb destroyed his private car in Pishin district, according to officials.
In Jiwani’s Dasht Nallah area, assailants planted an improvised explosive device, detonating it remotely as the Pakistan Coast Guards’ patrol vehicle passed by. The blast damaged a portion of the vehicle and injured two personnel, Shah Mir and Shafqaat. Three others inside the vehicle escaped unharmed.

The injured were initially treated at a local health facility before being moved to Gwadar for further care. Security forces secured the area following the incident.
Separately, in Huramzai Tehsil of Pishin, a motorcycle rigged with explosives was detonated near a Levies official’s private vehicle. The car sustained damage, but the official was unharmed, according to Levies officials.
Meanwhile, in Khuzdar district’s Wadh area, Levies personnel managed to avert another potential attack. A suspicious motorcycle parked by the roadside was identified and inspected during a routine patrol. Experts from the bomb disposal unit defused a 10kg explosive device attached to the vehicle, confirmed Assistant Commissioner Wadh Ali Akbar.
Additionally, in the Zehri bazaar, armed individuals kidnapped a man named Asfand Salehzai at gunpoint.
