Two Frontier Corps (FC) personnel lost their lives, and another sustained injuries during an operation against armed militants in the Jambarri area of Mach, Bolan district, according to officials on Sunday.
The clashes occurred when militants attempted to block the Quetta-Sibi Highway, disrupting traffic and stopping vehicles. Security forces responded swiftly, launching an operation to counter the threat. Fleeing militants killed two FC soldiers and injured another.

Kachhi Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rana Muhammad Dilawar stated that the operation, which began last night, is still ongoing, with intensified efforts to apprehend the remaining militants. While reports indicate the militants also suffered casualties, the exact numbers remain unconfirmed.
Authorities have tightened security across Bolan and other areas in the Kachhi district. SSP Dilawar stated that additional FC, police, and Levies personnel are securing the Quetta-Sibi Highway to ensure smooth traffic flow and protect travelers.
Targeted Killing in Panjgur Leaves Three Dead
Panjgur District, Makran Division – On Sunday night, three barbers from Sindh were shot dead in Gowargo, a small village in Panjgur district, by unidentified assailants.
According to police, the gunmen stormed the barber shop, opening fire indiscriminately. All three victims, identified as Abdul Sattar and Zubair Ahmed from Mirpurkhas and Muhammad Zaman from Jacobabad, died on the spot from multiple bullet wounds. The attackers fled the scene on motorcycles immediately after the attack.
The district hospital in Panjgur conducted medico-legal formalities for the victims, who had been operating the barber shop for several years, before transporting their bodies to their hometowns in Sindh.
Authorities suspect a targeted killing and have registered a case, launching an investigation into the incident.
